Global automation and digital solutions leader Zebra Technologies has announced that logistics provider Ninja Van Malaysia has modernised its fulfilment operations through the deployment of an integrated warehousing solution designed to improve speed, accuracy and operational efficiency amid rising e-commerce demand.
The upgrade supports Ninja Van Malaysia’s growing nationwide operations, which serve nearly 25 million recipients across Malaysia. As the company expanded its e-commerce and B2B fulfilment services, it faced increasing operational complexity, particularly during peak delivery periods that placed pressure on warehouse workflows and dispatch timelines.
To address these challenges, Ninja Van Malaysia implemented the cloud-native AC2 WAVE Warehouse Management System (WMS) in partnership with Zebra PartnerConnect independent software vendor AC2 WAVE. The system was paired with Zebra’s TC2 series mobile computers and ZD200 series desktop printers to create an end-to-end connected warehouse workflow.
The integrated setup enables warehouse staff to access real-time inventory guidance via mobile devices, improving visibility and accuracy during picking operations. Once items are processed, labels are printed on-site using Zebra’s ZD200 printers, supporting both thermal transfer and direct thermal applications to ensure precise parcel routing.
Ninja Van Malaysia said the system has significantly improved operational flow across its fulfilment centres.
“With faster scanning and a system that keeps everything flowing seamlessly, our operations are now smoother, more efficient, and truly exceptional,” said Tzi Zhao Lee, Director of Supply Chain and Partnerships at Ninja Van Malaysia.
“Instead of waiting for the system to catch up, things just move. I can now spend less time at the warehouse troubleshooting, as things take care of themselves. There is less frustration, people are happier, and they keep their momentum going throughout the shift.”
According to the company, warehouse operators are now achieving 30 to 60 scans per minute — effectively doubling previous scanning speeds — while processing thousands of daily orders. The improved reliability of label printing has also contributed to fewer errors in parcel routing and a near-elimination of customer complaints linked to delivery delays or missed shipments.
Ninja Van Malaysia has been one of the fastest-growing logistics players in the region, expanding its role in supporting Southeast Asia’s rapidly scaling digital commerce ecosystem.
Zebra Technologies Country Manager for Malaysia and Brunei, Kym Lim, said the deployment reflects the increasing demands placed on logistics providers in a fast-growing digital economy.
“Malaysia’s rapidly growing digital economy places immense pressure on logistics providers to deliver with unprecedented speed and accuracy,” she said.
“Ninja Van Malaysia’s success is a powerful example of how equipping a connected frontline with the right technology can drive significant operational modernization.”
The partnership highlights a broader trend among logistics and fulfilment providers in Malaysia adopting automation and real-time digital systems to improve scalability, efficiency and service reliability as e-commerce volumes continue to rise.
