Bursa Malaysia Berhad has announced the appointment of Encik Azizan Abd Aziz as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective 1 August 2025.
Encik Azizan will be responsible for leading the Exchange’s finance operations, including financial and management reporting, corporate planning, and budgeting. He brings with him over two decades of experience in finance, accounting, corporate finance, and advisory.
Dato’ Fad’l Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia, welcomed the appointment, stating, “We look forward to Encik Azizan joining the Exchange. His extensive experience and financial acumen will be instrumental in continuing to strengthen Bursa Malaysia’s operational efficiency and strategic endeavours, working collaboratively with our leadership team as we navigate an increasingly dynamic market landscape.”
Prior to this appointment, Encik Azizan served as Group CFO at Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad. His career also includes senior leadership roles as Merger and Acquisition Partner at Deloitte Southeast Asia Ltd., and with KPMG’s Financial Services Division in both the United Kingdom and Malaysia.
He holds a degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Plymouth, UK. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
