Tarang Gupta Set To Lead F&HNB As Chief Executive Officer

Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd (F&NHB) has announced a planned leadership transition, with Chief Executive Officer Lim Yew Hoe set to retire on 30 September 2026 after a long tenure with the group.

To ensure continuity and support its next phase of growth, the Board has appointed Tarang Gupta as CEO Designate effective 1 July 2026. He will officially assume the role of CEO on 1 October 2026.

Gupta brings more than 24 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, having led business transformation and growth initiatives across Asia and Africa. His experience spans multiple consumer categories, including dairy and nutrition, with a focus on market expansion, operational excellence and supply chain resilience.

Most recently, Gupta led the Philippines business of Royal FrieslandCampina through its subsidiary Alaska Milk Corporation. He previously served as Managing Director of Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad in Malaysia and Singapore.

Lim will continue to lead F&NHB during the transition period and work closely with Gupta to ensure a smooth handover.

Chairman Tengku Syed Badarudin Jamalullail paid tribute to Lim’s leadership, noting that he had guided the group through a pivotal phase by strengthening market positions, enhancing operational discipline and building resilience across key markets.

Under Lim’s stewardship, F&NHB also advanced its integrated dairy development platform, aimed at strengthening supply resilience and supporting the long-term development of Malaysia’s dairy industry.

Reflecting on his tenure, Lim described his time at the company as a privilege, highlighting the progress made in strengthening business foundations and expanding capabilities amid an increasingly dynamic operating environment. He expressed confidence in the company’s future and commitment to ensuring a seamless transition.

Gupta said he was honoured to take on the role, noting F&NHB’s strong heritage and its role in the daily lives of consumers across the region. He added that he looks forward to building on the company’s foundation and driving sustainable growth alongside the leadership team.

The transition underscores F&NHB’s focus on continuity, disciplined execution and capturing new growth opportunities in an evolving consumer landscape.
