MDEC’s DEX Connex Thailand 2024 In Conjunction With Techsauce Global Summit 2024 Makes Its Return

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has announced the return of the DEX Connex Thailand 2024 programme, in conjunction with the prestigious Techsauce Global Summit 2024.

MDEC is committed to supporting Malaysian tech companies in expanding their international presence and fostering bilateral collaborations that drive innovation and economic growth. MDEC has upheld its commitment by bringing 51 Malaysian tech companies to participate in the programme, emphasising the collective efforts of all partners involved.

The key highlights of this programme are the exchanged of the Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), and Memorandum of Agreements (MoAs) documents
between Malaysia and Thailand counterparts.
Through these MoUs and MoAs, Malaysian and Thailand companies will explore
potential areas of cooperation such as joint ventures, technology transfers, and market
access. By leveraging each other’s strengths and expertise, these partnerships aim to
drive innovation, enhance competitiveness and create new opportunities for growth in
the digital sphere.

The companies that exchanged the MoUs and MoAs were:

i. CapBay from Malaysia, and Sleek EV from Thailand: To promote sustainable mobility solutions through dealer financing.

ii. CapBay from Malaysia, and AccRevo from Thailand: To provide integrated financial solutions for SMEs.

iii. Tala Records from Malaysia, and The Nimit Studio from Thailand: To focus on ASEAN cultural content creation.

iv. Intelligence Traceability from Malaysia, and S.M.S Solutions from Thailand: To enhance traceability in food and pharmaceuticals industry.

v. EasyStore Commerce from Malaysia, and Lalamove from Thailand: To improve delivery efficiency for SMEs.

vi. EasyStore Commerce from Malaysia, and Sunmi Technology from Thailand: To enhance payment processing for SMEs.

vii. CTH Commerce from Malaysia, and T.R. SIAMPUN from Thailand: To integrate PayRecon’s solutions with TRCloud’s Accounting Solution to support Thai SMEs.

x. ReSkills EdTech from Malaysia, and THE ATTA CO., LTD. From Thailand: To expand ReSkills’ subscriber base in Thailand through engagement with corporations, universities, and lifelong learners.

These partnerships have resulted in more than RM200 million worth of engagement and underscores the programme’s role in promoting Malaysian technology and innovation on the global stage.

Meanwhile, looking back at the achievements from the previous DEX Connex in Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia have seen over 100 companies participated in the programme thus, generating more than RM400 million in potential opportunities for Malaysian tech companies in these markets.

Following the previous MoU signing between MDEC and the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), this year’s second edition of DEX Connex enhances executive cooperation and promotes innovative collaborations. Meanwhile, RICOH Thailand, which signed a MoA at last year’s programme, will officially launch DocKITA® services in the Thai market this August. Ashisuto Global Technologies Sdn. Bhd. will offer DocKITA® services through RICOH’s digital marketing channels and Thailand’s sales team.

The DEX Connex Thailand 2024 programme was a collaborative effort with key partners, including the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) Thailand, the Embassy of Malaysia in Thailand, DEPA Thailand, True Digital Park, Diplomatic Council, Malaysia-Thai Chamber of Commerce (MTCC), GEN Thailand and Techsauce.
